Hello! My name is Efrain. I am a God fearing Latino man, born and raised in the lower East Side, NYC. I have been incarcerated since 2003 and expecting release in 2018. Before incarceration I was a barber/hairstylist and an events marketing manager. Presently, I keep busy by volunteering my skills to assist and educate other inmates in learning barber skills as well as how to market their skills in a productive environment.
It's been a long journey with the million challenges life has surrounded me with and truly it means nothing if I have no one special to share my experiences with. However, I am interested in seeking a female friend who is understanding and patient. A woman who is willing to express her inner feelings without hesitation. I am financially secure and I do not seek financial gain from anyone.
Again, in this presentation, my wish is that the woman who chooses to read it takes advantage of the opportunity to meet a man who is creative, caring and most of all motivated to think positively with understanding and faith that he can realize his purpose.
Things I enjoy doing in my free time are exercising, which allow me to maintain good physical health; mediating, to build concentration visualizing my purpose; reading, ( all self - help books); and last but not least, I have a passion for poetry. I write lots of poems I consider it an expression of my most intimate thoughts and feelings on paper. The thing I value the most in my life is my family. Especially, after the experience of incarceration. This experience has solidified a profound desire to value the family unit and it's different components.
Thus, for now, my intention is to continue to be patient and wish to find that special friend who is willing to correspond with me thru mail. There are so many more things about me I would like to add, but I told myself before I began that I would simply keep it to a minimum, until that special friend comes along. So, in order not to compromise myself I will end this and hopefully, look forward to reading what is on your mind.
