Upon entry into prison, sadly I have been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat and a blood clot along with severe depression.  Please allow me to keep this pen pal ad running by sending donations for services and hygiene supplies.  I will send you a selected art design from my personal collection.  Moral support is not something you buy, it comes from the heart;  may I have your moral support?

JUST BECAUSE YOU LOSE YOUR FREEDOM, DOESN'T MEAN YOU LOSE YOUR

                     ' FREEDOM OF RIGHTS'

No matter who you are or what you did, we all have a right to be heard.  At 58, I sit thru my golden years because of ineffective trial counsel and an ignorant jackass appellant attorney.  Not only is Illinois one of three top corrupted political states, it is also home to a corrupt judicial system, with prosecution push to convict with the theory, if you were arrested you must be guilty.  In the face of factual argument in affidavits from the story tale complainant, the police report and records, non-caring attorney (s) having no interest in the case, thus allowing the appellate court to be mis-informed and left in the dark of the facts.  I filed my own 46 page argument to the Illinois Supreme court, who only hear about 3% of cases.

From New York City to Florida, to work.....in 16 states, my 10 year career ended.  After my father's death and my Mother suffering Alzheimer's Disease, a loving family became my second family, with their relatives.  But, they were not 'true friends', due to my arrest.  They abandoned me.

I did over 300 drawings that appear on several websites ( Prison Inmates.com,)  As a publisher of previous news web sites, I continue to write articles on prison & the Public Defender system.  These articles appear on several websites and in print publications.  My time now is spent on appellate case law & research.

If you have a loved one in an Illinois prison, I would be glad to hear from you.  Remember......prison does not offer you support or re-entry programs.  You must prove and answer to  yourself.

Thanks for your open mind and remember, many prisoners behind walls are innocent or had their 'alleged offenses' embellished to close the case.  Just recently a wrongly convicted person was released after 35 years for a crime he did not commit, he is one of many.

        Hope to hear from you.

                                                                  WHAT'S IN A PRISONER
                                                                                    by

The maze of proceedings during pre-trial detainment can be frustrating, compounded with uncaring incompetent public defender's who end up getting you a sentence in the big house, instead of you returning to your house.

In the big house (prison) there will be re-unions with fellow street crime co-defendant's. Adjustment is usually in the gym or yard recreational activities and in the housing unit, playing cards or watching TV combating boredom or idle time. Though these activities should be second to productive, education and vocational programs, self-help, library, and even work assignments, also seeking redress with your criminal case should be foremost. Also, many rather surround themselves in filth and urine-infested living quarters despite freely available cleaning supplies, laundry soap, and private showers.

Some prisoner's succumb the foreign psychiatrists for silence and sleep time away with psychotropic medication giving them a robotic state of just being, without the human factor as in human being. Being doped-up is a balance for the once street high addiction. It is not the miracle cure-all solution. One should elect other options of counseling, group therapy, crisis intervention and other self-help motivational programs.

Caution yourself against hand-outs & strong-arm bullies who attempt to gain your friendship. In prison there are no friends, you are just passing thru. Some prisoner's have nothing to lose and prey on new blood. Do take comfort in the senior population, as they may guide you, they are wiser. Pace the floors and observe and you will find who you can relate with.

Guard yourself against the retaliatory administration and keep distant where the uncaring ruthless prisoner may be haunting you. A trap in an environment of prison's gated community can be a living hell, especially if you let it. Territorial oversight by prison long-timers is not as common as once was. In the gated community the same benefits apply to all...no security deposit, no deposit or credit check, or background check, and they will leave the light on for you.

Once you were a child of the universe, now you are just an existent...in the land of prison. You gave up the free-spirit of livelihood for the restraints of isolation.

For life you were given the now a second time to live in faith and will: In the beginning God created man, and after that, who are you now?
