It is within that quote that I am inspired to reach out today. Greetings, my name is Lamont Reese and I'm a 24 year old male here on the Texas Death Row. It is very hard to reach out from such a place, but as I know all people are unique beings, I know condemnations is not wished upon me by all. As a young man coming up in such truculent conditioning and in a pure unforgiving environment, I have truly noticed that the smallest of things can give a person the hope and strength they need to make it through the darkest of days and carry on. Whether that hope of strength comes from looking at the big blue sky out my small window, a caring letter, or a picture from a pen-friend to let you know you're not alone or forgotten, it has the greatest effect.
See, small things are indeed small, but to be faithful in small things is a great thing. The spirit of delight is in them. Just the thought of these things would put a smile on my face, and through those smiles I sustain my strength and hope. Through these traits I will try my best to produce positive things in my life and at this point, I only wish to radiate them to others. I hope that these words will inspire you to reach out and have understanding that all things in life have purpose. Even one single person can make a paramount difference and with that, I ask you to smile for me!
